Get to know me.
I'm from a small town you probably haven't heard of with two younger sisters you can't possibly forget after meeting them. Growing up I always knew I wanted to do something big in life, I just never knew exactly what that was going to be. I still have no idea what that is or will be, but I'm hopefully preparing myself to be ready for it whenever it comes. That's probably why my mindset has always been to be happy where I'm at but to always be looking toward what's to come.

I was a late bloomer in my journey to pursue a path in the field of marketing. Thanks to a summer job with Missouri State University, several work experiences with Bass Pro Shops, and some advice from a friend, I made the leap to a career in marketing in 2021 and never looked back. Before marketing, I was pursuing a path in the field of health and medicine, but considering how well I can handle my sister's stories from the emergency room, I think I made the right call.

One of the joys and challenges of my professional life is finding my focus. I am passionate about several different ideas, and I enjoy working on several different projects at the same time. When people ask what I want to do, I often stumble on my response because I'm genuinely open to almost anything—except, of course, anything related to the emergency room; that's a hard pass.

Some of the most valuable advice I've ever received is to embrace opportunities whenever they arise. This of course has to be practiced in moderation, but I have learned exponentially more by saying "yes" rather than "no." This advice has both alleviated and exacerbated my struggle with focus. The more I learn and experience, the more I have the desire to do more and think bigger. The more I focus on wanting to do more, the more I realize how little I know and understand. This in turn pushes me to learn more, and then the cycle just keeps repeating itself.

Currently, I'm working with Volume Nine while running my own online disc golf shop. In my free time, you'll find me planning a fundraiser for my hometown city park, attempting to coerce myself into writing a book, and playing lots of disc golf. Unfortunately, my brain never truly switches off.
